We decided after watching a sun set over the Grand Canyon to offer this tour. The sun setting over the ocean and mountains is beautiful but there's nothing like a Grand Canyon sunset. The natural tranquility of the Grand Canyon blended with the romance, peace, and beauty of the sunset creates a stunning and peaceful feeling. That's a good thing too in case you've already taken a "hit" on the Vegas slots or tables. We do serve wine at sunset too just in case you feel like relaxing a bit more and provide all of the other great bonuses that go with our grand canyon tours.

The sunset tour includes 4 FULL HOURS at the South Rim plus watching the sun set, a McDonald’s breakfast, a picnic lunch, free t-shirt and CD slideshow of your experience. Time really is the only asset that we can give you to completely absorb the tranquility and splendor of the Grand Canyon and we'll make sure that you get plenty of that. It is in this time that we’ll guide you along a flat, easy trail so you can enjoy the Grand Canyon as Mother Nature intended; peacefully along a winding trail where the edge of earth touches the faint blue sky.

We provide a 3 HOUR fully guided Grand Canyon tour to enhance your Grand Canyon experience. This will maximize your time and enable you to see and do much more then you would on an unguided tour. The tour guide will carry your picnic lunch in a backpack and set up lunch somewhere along the trail. We always like to remind our guests that the more you eat at lunch, the lighter their pack will be the rest of the day! They will also point out hidden lookout points, good picture spots, and explain how the Grand Canyon formed.

..SMALL GROUPS OF 9 OR LESS . . . . . . . . .for your grand canyon sunset tour

There's a reason why Napoleon won at Waterloo. He traveled with a smaller army and was able to move much quicker. We apply the same theory here because the quicker we travel, the more you get to conquer on your Grand Canyon tour! We cap our group sizes at 10 per group so that nobody feels like another numer or name tag. It also allows the group to interact much more closely then they would if they were in a large group.

The picnic lunch is one of the main characteristics that separate our Grand Canyon tours from all other Grand Canyon tour companies. We will stop somewhere along the trail and set up lunch right on the rim of the Grand Canyon. The sandwiches are HUGE and there is plenty of food to eat. Most people save half of the sandwich for the ride home. We do not believe in the type of hospitality that leaves people still hungry after a scheduled meal. ..MCDONALD'S BREAKFAST in boulder, nevada

We include a McDonald's breakfast in your Grand Canyon tour (and all other tours) with Grand-Adventures.com. You can eat as much as you like. We use to serve the continental breakfast but we learned that we ended up losing more travel time by doing this. Our guests ended up ordering food at gas stations, asked to stop, or walked to nearby places to get a bite to eat. Plus, everyone at Grand-Adventures.com came from families where it was only proper to stuff the guests with food; a la a "sliver" to Grandma was half the pie - and Lord help you if you asked for ice cream!

..PHOTO STOP AT HOOVER DAM on your grand canyon sunset tour

We will make a 10-15 minute photo stop at Hoover Dam on our way to the Grand Canyon. We stop at the lookout point closest to the dam, which overhangs the Colorado River. You'll be surprised that the dam is much smaller then it looks on TV or in those bad Superman movies.

..DOOR-TO-DOOR SERVICE on your grand canyon sunset tour

We will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, timeshare, or casino for your Grand Canyon tour. We can also make arrangements to pick you up at a private residence if you are staying with friends.

..A GRAND SUNSET for your grand canyon sunset tour

We will set up at Hopi or Mohave Point to watch the sunset. Either spot is ideal and we try to choose the most photogenic spot. Traditionally, Mohave is good when there is an overcast sky. Hopi is good when there is a clear sky. The reason is you can see more of the canyon floor and all of it's shadows and colors at Hopi Point. Mohave allows you to get closer shots of the sun breaking through the clouds as it sets. No sunset is the same and we recommend you bring even more film and batteries then usual. It's not uncommon for people to take 100 pictures just of the sunset.

.GRAND CANYON VILLAGE

We start our Grand Canyon tour walk at Bright Angel Lodge, which is centrally located in Grand Canyon Village. We walk west to Mohave Point.

.NATIVE AMERICAN ALTAR

Our first stop will be at an ancient Native American Altar. Grand Canyon National Park Services still holds daily non-denominational masses each day at 4:00pm.

.TRAILVIEW OVERLOOK

Trailview Overlook is our first major lookout point. We will see the entire Bright Angel Trail, which runs from the top to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

.FLAT ROCK

Flat Rock is a good spot to catch a glimpse of some soaring California Condors. It's a huge, flat rock situated on a turn just before Maricopa Point.

.PICNIC LUNCH

We'll stop for our picnic lunch in a nice, shady spot that hangs right on the rim. You won't find a restaurant with a better view!

.MARICOPA POINT

Maricopa Point is the very first lookout point that allows you to see the full east-west length of the canyon. You only see into a small gulley to this point.

.POWELL POINT

Powell Point provides one of the most spectacular spots for photos. All of the pictures where people look like they are standing on the edge were taken here.

.HOPI POINT

Hopi Point is the highest and largest point on the route west of Grand Canyon Village. It's one of the most beautiful points at Grand Canyon National Park.

.RETURN SHUTTLE

You dodged a bullet! We'll take the free return shuttle back to Grand Canyon Village rather then walk alllll the way back. We'll let you do some shopping too.
