All of the pictures on the website were taken by our Grand Canyon tour guides. We know that you are going to be in awe of it. Everyone is. The most splendid time to see the Grand Canyon is during and after a hard rain storm. The photograph to the right is a picture of a Model T at Hackberry General Store along old Route 66, the Mainstreet of America.

We've put a few more pictures below for your viewing pleasure. We don't mind if you download them or email and ask us for some pictures. Our library has reached well over 10,000 photographs and we are always happy to share them. : : Grand Canyon Tour Wild Flowers : :

	ORANGE GLOBE MALLOW: These were blooming along the freeway so we stopped to take pictures.

UTAH CACTUS: This cactus only blooms once every 25 years. It dies immediately after blooming but there is a good chance we'll see them .

	BLACK-EYED SUSANS: These flowers bloom heavily along the freeway in August. I zoomed in closely for this picture. They aren't really that big.

PRICKLY PEARS: These are very good to eat. The purple bulbs make deliscious jam while the green part tastes like fruit. It's true, really.

: : Grand Canyon Tour Sunsets : :

	RED SKY SUNSET: It rained a few hours before sunset. The rain clouds did not have time to clear out of the canyon. This was the most spectacular sunset they'd had in five years..

BEFORE RED SKY : This was the sun just before the red sky to the left.

	THE RIDE HOME: TWe will see the sunset as we ride home from your Grand Canyon tour. It rained hard just before this sunset.

TREE IN THE SHADOW: This tree is skinny and was just sitting there. I like pictures like this and really happy that it turned out.

	CALIFORNIA CONDORS: The condors are endangered (250 left) but making a strong comeback at the Grand Canyon. They are the largest bird in North America (wing span of 9 feet)

SQUIRREL: They are very bold. This little guy was watching the sunset with us while eating a nut.

	MOUNTAIN GOAT : This gal was eating some grass with her herd. It's rare to see them but when you do they like to get their pictures taken

SCRUB JAY: This little devil swooped down and stole a cracker two seconds after this picture. They are related to the Blue Jay.

.: : Grand Canyon Tour Route 66 - HACKBERRY, AZ : :

	ROUTE 66 BOTTLES: These dusty old bottles sit on a shelf inside Hackberry General Store. We will stop here if we have enough time.

BULL HEAD: You ain't no man if you don't got no bull skull hangin' on yer fence. Well, at least that's what they use to think years ago.

	COCA-COLA: An old hermit started collecting relics from Route 66 and stored them at his Hackberry store. Today, It's a very famous stop.

MOBIL OIL: My dad always ponders about prices in the "good old days". The things he could buy for a nickel....and kindly he always gave two cents to me.

: : Grand Canyon Tour Buildings of The Grand Canyon : :

	LOOKOUT STUDIO: This was one of the first gift shops designed and built at the South Rim. All buildings at the South Rim were designed by Mary Jane Coulter.

HOPI HOUSE: The Hopi House is an exact replica of a Hopi Indian building. The Hopi Indians lived in and around the Grand Canyon.

	BRIGHT ANGEL LODGE: This is the "commoners lodge" and has cabins that you can rent just off the rim.

EL TOVAR LODGE: El Tovar is the "upscale" lodge at the South Rim. It is designed after a 19th century English hunting lodge but with southwest touches.

: : Grand Canyon Tour Hopi Indian Dancers: :

	WATCHING: The Hopi Indians perform daily dances in the summertime between 2-4pm. The proceeds are donated to the dancers for their college fund.

CHANTING: The Hopi Indians are the only Native American tribe that never surrendered to the US Government.

	RINGS: They lived in and around the Grand Canyon, which made it very difficult for anyone to attack them.

DRESSES: Their Hopi Huts are located all along the Colorado River. Many river rafters explore these remains during their rafting trip..

: : Grand Canyon Tour - The Grand Canyon : :

	RAIN CLOUDS: These clouds are breaking up after a brief afternoon shower. The weather changes quickly up there and is most beautiful after a hard rain..

RAIN SWIRL: This cloud was sending out lightning bolts. It's hard to catch lightning with a camera.

	ALMOST SUNSET: The sun is setting just to the left of this picture. The tall, think stock to the right is a Utah Cactus flower.

BREAKING STORM : This storm is still dumping rain. We can tell by the way the bottom of the cloud is so black.
