Our professional opinion is that if you are staying in Las Vegas for more then five days then you need to rent a car and stay at least two days at the Grand Canyon. It's a vacation inside of a vacation and well worth the experience. It's also a fact that 95% of the people who visit the Grand Canyon while in Las Vegas go back a second time.
Each of us at Grand-Adventures.com despise tours when traveling because they are normally a rip-off and they don't show you the real gems of what make a tour special. That said, our goal is to make sure you don't have a tour experience similar to what we despise. We recognize that some people will drive and cater to those who are undecided or just want to relax and let us do the driving. Either way, here are some good points to let us drive.
CAR RENTAL FEE
It will cost about $60 a day to rent a car
GASOLINE EXPENSE
Gas will cost about $100 for a standard sized car.
PARK ENTRANCE FEE
The park entrance fee is $25 per car.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Breakfast and lunch will cost about $20 per person.
THE LONG DRIVE
It will be hard making the round-trip drive on a short visit to Vegas.
MAXIMIZING YOUR TIME
Sometimes, you can miss some of the real gems of an attraction.
Most of our groups are couples because it makes the most sense financially for couples or individuals to take our Grand Canyon tour. It's more cost-effective for families or large groups to rent their own van or car and go out there.
We do stop at the spot located in the picture to the right. This lookout point is called Trailview Overlook. It really isn't as scary as the picture looks. It's a case of trick photography but the Grand Canyon presents a lot of great opportunities for pictures like this. Taking a Grand Canyon tour with us will enable you to see all of the great points like this without wasting your time. We also know of all of the great photography spots along the trail.
